Origins of the Vampire

Vampires are mythological beings who feed on the essences of life in the form the blood of the living creature. The history of the vampire dates back as old as time time itself. The vampire roots have taken place in nearly every part of the world and has been eternally preying on our imaginations. Back on ancient times the word Vampire did not exist however an the sudden death of citizens and livestock was associated with demonic spirits.

The word Vampire came from the comes from the Slavic word Vampire or Vampry and first appeared in the 1600's in the area that is now know as Bulguria.

The Vampires of folklore were depicted as crude, reanimated corpses with a single motivation to consume blood. During the 18th century there was a frenzy of vampire sightings in Eastern Europe with frequent grave digging and staking. Even government officials participated at this time.

It was John Polidoris 1819 Novel the Vampyre that add the charismatic and sophistication to the creature of the night.

Today Vampires have become sexually attractive and very charismatic with superhuman intelligence and special powers.

The can use mind control in order to get what they want or need. Some of the vampires have even developed a remarkable function to allow them to act out as normal humans during the day in order to hide their true identity. They can now even form loving relationships with humans.

It seems Woman love the image of a damaged, morally questionable man who nevertheless can serve as her protector. Let's face it fetishism, deviance, and perversion all play out in a lot of vampire Literature. You have penetration, exchange of bodily fluids, He can hypnotize you with very seductive powers. I feel the vampire appeals to primitive fear as a human being and deepest desires.
