West Chester Halloween Fun!

Hello Guys and Ghouls!

My family has been scaring up a good time lately and I am absolutely frightfully delighted. Halloween is hands down my be all end all holiday.  I assume that is why I try to keep it around all year. Last year while making holiday (x-mas)  cupcakes for the little monsters school. I was watching a ghost hunters marathon while doing so.  Any who…. This past weekend Mummy's little monsters as well as Mummy and Daddy went to a Ghost Tour. I must say it was rather fantastic.  We went to the Lincoln Room in Downtown West Chester. Before the outing began we ate dinner in the gathering area, Pulled pork sandwich's and OMG! to die for Butternut squash soup which I never had but it is YUMMY! At 8 the ghost tour began; Our tour guide was Malcolm Johnstone dressed as a gentleman from 1850's  guided us and approximately 45 other people on a 90 min. walking tour of the historic ghostly events of the West Chester area.  The tour began at the Lincoln room one of West Chester's most historic buildings dating back to 1833. It is a federal style structure built by William Everhart, a former congressman. The rooms retain its original molding and tin ceiling. Abraham Lincoln had his first biography written here. It is also said to be haunted by the ghost of John Tully a horse thief that died there after being whipped and having his ears cut off. We also learned about the Everhart Parks mysterious Shadow People, as well as the persecution of the accused Westtown Witch Moll Otley. If ever in the West Chester Area and are looking for something fun to do for this time of year. I would definitely recommend giving this a try. It is a lot of fun and the people that run it could not get any nicer. Wonderful experience all the way around. This week I am getting ready for the weekends big events.  Friday Night is Bates Motel followed by chillaxin in the crypt with killer friends. The following day is the big halloween Night of the Living Fed Party. Can't Wait!!!!
Yours Cruelly,
Krymsin

Lucid Dreaming

Lucid dreaming is defined as a dream in which you are aware that you are dreaming. The dreamer normally experiences something strange and will also question their reality. At that point they realize they are in fact in a dream. It is a completely natural experience. Just like a regular dream except for the small difference of you knowledge of knowing it is a dream.

Many lucid dreamers will keep a dream journal, which will allow the dreamers to categorize and track down any recurring dreams.

There are benefits of lucid dreaming. You can take on a new life in lucid dreams, free of all your fears and inhibitions, confident that you can do absolutely anything. This has a real positive impact on your waking life.
Conscious dreaming is a fascinating experience. The realism is shocking, yet you are in a completely safe and controllable environment. Alternate realities here we come! It's against this background that you can face your fears, enhance your creative problem solving skills, improve your confidence and practice new skills.
Lucid Dreams enables us to use this playground for profound personal growth and insights.

Ghosts

As we know ghosts are said to be a manifestation of a spirit or soul. Either of a person or animal. These spiritual beings have been know to take on many different forms. I personally only believe in two different categories of ghosts.

They are:

Past-life Ghosts and Historical/Tragic event type ghosts. I do not believe in Demonic Spirits. I do feel ghosts just as their human counterparts can be good or evil and the spiritual beings would be an extension of their earthly form.

These type of ghost may be seen as Guardian Spirits. Which is something I feel most people can relate to and take comfort in knowing their existence. They are the entities that watch over us our entire lives attempting to help us get out of a dangerous situation. They are the voice within our heads trying to guide you in a different direction. These are normally the loved ones who stick around  to watch over you. They can also be in the form of a messenger ghosts That show up only to warn of danger for future events before returning to their on plane of existence.

Some ghostly forms just have unfinished business, spirits that stick around to give us clues to how they past on. Perhaps maybe just waiting around to see their first grandchild or the Mother that left the world all to soon that is stuck in our world just wanting to watch her children grow up. I sometimes feel as if these ghosts may go about their business daily not even knowing that they are dead. This aspect of not knowing is probably a sad existence trying to figure out why people do not stop by anymore to say hello or g why those around them can no longer hear them speak.

All these apparitions can take on the following forms:

Full Body Apparitions: The is the be all end all of all Ghostly photos, the rare full body photos. These are the images of recognizable humans in which he subject appears either Partially or fully formed. As well as transparent, at least some part of it. In some cases the figure is full enough to be identified as a deceased family member of friend. Which has always been the most valuable paranormal evidence.

Vortexes: Those little clouds or wisps of light that sometimes appear in photos. Usually appearing as a swirling spiral of light, sometimes taken the form of an apparently opaque shape.

Orbs/Spears: is a basic ball of light that unexpectedly appears in a photo, normally white or bluish in color, In video some of these have been caught moving at a high rate of speed. But one persons ghostly image may just be another person's speck of dust.

Rods & Swimmers: Elongated rod shaped objects moving quickly through the air. Most of these are dismissed as optical illusions of insects.

The Poltergeist (Noisy ghost): this is perhaps the most well known ghost: know for their tendencies to move , in many cases hurtle objects around a room. Hide small items from the land of the living as well as produce usually loud and persistent noises. Though generally harmless they have the ability to frighten people that could lead to more traumatic issues in the faint hearted.

Halloween Event

I try my best to be a fangtasic Ghostess….

If there’s just one thing I have going for myself it’s the ability to have my ghouls over and show them a great time via food, drinks, music, ambiance and conversation. Even if it’s just cards on the patio, effort is still made. It comes second nature, I look forward to, and love doing it.

On October 22, I’m hosting 30+ Costume event for adults called; Night of the living Fed, spooks and Spirits Halloween Party… Oh. Shit!!!!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving this challenge. Going all out or trying damn hard — that’s my style. But this 30+ adults thing is freaking me out a bit;  One thing is for sure my townhouse is not the biggest thing in the world.

OH MY GOTH:  FORBID IT RAINS.
Would rather not have the sun: but dry semi warm weather we will be able to play flip cup and eyeball beer pong outdoors. Voodoo Quarters can be played indoors. The dining room is being converted into the place to play incase of inclement weather as well as the entire downstairs being converted to a semi- haunted house (See? I throw a kick ass party.) I know how to scare up a good time.

The Location of this is being kept in the coffin: well to everyone but my BOO Crew to have a vampericfic time. Teehee!

There is zero room for rain. I absolutely cannot have those numbers in my home with just our basic living room / dining room furniture. Uh uh, no way, no can do. I’m getting ghastly heart palpitations just thinking about it. YIKES! there will have to be rules in place if the rain occurs.
So I am asking you to help a sister out and send NO RAIN VIBES  my way and I will be indebted to you, one weather vibe sending, ok? That is not to much to ask.

Here is what I have accomplished so far.. and yet I still have so much to do. " Le Sigh" and this is without the lighting and fog machine.

*hugs* to all  Yours Cruelly,

Emotional Vampires

As everyone knows I adore vampires but emotional vampires I can totally live without. You know what I am talking about the people in your lives that drain you or feed on you mentally. Almost everyone of us has someone in our life. They're the real-life Dementors who suck your energy without even trying. These people that make you feel physically tired, drained, sleepy, and agitated just being around them.

There's nothing like the dysfunctions of others to bring out the beast in all of us. Whether it's the neighborhood drama-queen, the narrow-minded person who just happened to cross your path, or perhaps you have one of those self absorbed jack asses in your life.

Intellectually we know the fall out that will occur from calling out the crazies, it will cause more chaos. However it internally eats at you, that they are to blind to see there own dysfunctions.

Well guess what?
The truth is they are effin crazy.

I thank the heaven's have only encountered the the drama queen and constant talker aspect of the emotional vampire. The Drama queen: These people have a flair for exaggerating small incidents into of the chart drama. The Constant talker: These people are not really interested in your feelings, they are mostly concerned with self. Mostly sitting around trying to get a word in edgewise but it normally never comes.
Don't get sucked into their endless series of melodramas and try to limit your interactions with them as much as humanly possible. Try to surround yourself with people that are uplifting who boost your spirit. For the most part 98% of my friends are just that a positive force in my life but their are the rare exceptions.

Origins of the Vampire

Vampires are mythological beings who feed on the essences of life in the form the blood of the living creature. The history of the vampire dates back as old as time time itself. The vampire roots have taken place in nearly every part of the world and has been eternally preying on our imaginations. Back on ancient times the word Vampire did not exist however an the sudden death of citizens and livestock was associated with demonic spirits.

The word Vampire came from the comes from the Slavic word Vampire or Vampry and first appeared in the 1600's in the area that is now know as Bulguria.

The Vampires of folklore were depicted as crude, reanimated corpses with a single motivation to consume blood. During the 18th century there was a frenzy of vampire sightings in Eastern Europe with frequent grave digging and staking. Even government officials participated at this time.

It was John Polidoris 1819 Novel the Vampyre that add the charismatic and sophistication to the creature of the night.

Today Vampires have become sexually attractive and very charismatic with superhuman intelligence and special powers.

The can use mind control in order to get what they want or need. Some of the vampires have even developed a remarkable function to allow them to act out as normal humans during the day in order to hide their true identity. They can now even form loving relationships with humans.

It seems Woman love the image of a damaged, morally questionable man who nevertheless can serve as her protector. Let's face it fetishism, deviance, and perversion all play out in a lot of vampire Literature. You have penetration, exchange of bodily fluids, He can hypnotize you with very seductive powers. I feel the vampire appeals to primitive fear as a human being and deepest desires.
